I live in this town. I dirt bike where this fire started. They have woods parties all over that area. There's video of the kid at the party. As I ride through the woods, you can see remnants of bonfires and beer bottles all over. It was retarded to set pallets on fire and not put them out, but this was not terrorism.
I don't know exactly where it started but they're calling this the "Jones Road fire" - we usually enter the woods right from Jones Road on 532, and Funtown pit is about 10min ride up Jones. So yeah it's probably in that vicinity
Is it normal to have all these fires this time of year ? Here in Wyoming & Montana we get fires from lightning in July & August mostly. I have never seen forest fires in the winter till them fires in Canada a couple or 3 years ago.
