Are you living in the present when you think of the past? Where do those thoughts reside? When you look in your minds eye at scenery from your past where are you? Where are you when imagining the future? You can see it. Can you not? Not your physical eyes but the internal you can.
When you sing to yourself or voice something internally in your mind how are you hearing it? It’s not part of the physical world. You can hear it but nobody else can. Where is the sound that you hear? It’s not vibrating your physical ear drums but you still hear it internally.
We are multidimensional beings. Don’t give me that only in the present mumbo jumbo. You exist where your consciousness exists. Consciousness is not physical. Consciousness exists in a different dimension from your physical self. Your consciousness, aka your soul, will live forever. You are information that will never fade away. Information is not physical. It is not stored in the physical. It resides in your consciousness, aka soul.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

Btw, I guarantee 8-track players and VHS players are available if you seek them out. Stop acting like old technology is gone forever. Just because they’re not profitable doesn’t mean they don’t or won’t ever exist again.
Everything is in the present. I am here, no matter what I think of. I can see things in my mind's eye when I read a book...but if the book is pure fiction, the events are not real, in the past, now, or in the future.
Don't confuse memory with reality.
The mind and its continued existence after death is a different subject, but so far we only recall what we experienced in life. You must remember that "consciousness" is not a thing unto itself. If we are conscious, we are conscious of SOMETHING. And that something is in the present, for the past is over with and the future has not happened yet. Otherwise we are dreaming. The information of the material world IS physical, and it will degrade without preservation effort. Plenty of elderly people have found that their memories also degrade (which is why it is important, in my opinion, to keep mementos).
Don't bother to overawe me with Bible quotations...which don't prove any point in a contest. I am a Christian. You don't have to tell me what I already know.
News to me that 8-track and VHS players are still around. So much the better. I see that LP records are making a comeback as well, along with vacuum tube electronics. But some technology is gone forever: Greek fire, 16-inch naval cannon, megalithic construction methods.
