Kevin Alan Brook, an American Jewish historian, carefully traces the history of the Khazars and their conversion to Judaism in The Jews of Khazaria. He acknowledges their role in Jewish history without exaggerating or denying it, offering a balanced view based on archaeological, linguistic, and historical evidence.
Norman Golb, a Jewish historian at the University of Chicago, co-authored Khazarian Hebrew Documents of the Tenth Century with Omeljan Pritsak. Golb directly analyzed original documents (like the Kievan Letter) that prove the Khazar ruling class practiced Judaism, presenting it openly without distortion.
Both authors, as Jews themselves, show intellectual honesty: They neither dismiss Khazarian Jewish history to defend modern political narratives, nor do they weaponize it. Instead, they are trying to preserve historical truth, recognizing that Jewish identity has always been complex, multifaceted, and widespread.
Their work reflects a commitment to truth over ideology — a refreshing stand in a topic often twisted for political purposes.
Additional Serious Scholars on the Khazar Question:
Douglas M. Dunlop — The History of the Jewish Khazars (A respected 1954 scholarly work treating the Khazars seriously as a historical Jewish kingdom.)
Omeljan Pritsak — Khazar Studies (An extremely detailed, academic study focusing on Khazar language, culture, and political structure.)
Peter Golden — Khazar Studies: An Historico-Philological Inquiry into the Origins of the Khazars (Another heavyweight scholar who carefully documents Khazar origins and history without political bias.)
(Optional Reading): Arthur Koestler — The Thirteenth Tribe (A popularized book, not academic, arguing that many Ashkenazi Jews descended from Khazars. Koestler was Jewish but overstated the case compared to the more careful scholars.)
Important Clarifications:
None of these serious scholars claim that most Jews today are descended from Khazars.
They show that some Ashkenazi ancestry could include Khazar blood, but that most Jewish roots still trace to older Middle Eastern and European communities.
They also do not argue that Khazarian culture (tribalism, warrior mentality) dominates modern Jewish culture.
However, it is reasonable to theorize separately that a minority faction, descended from Khazar warrior elites, may have kept their ruthless mentality — explaining some of today's corrupt globalist behavior falsely done in the name of Judaism.
Overall Conclusion:
Brook, Golb, Dunlop, Pritsak, and Golden confirm the historical reality of Jewish Khazars.
They remain honest and academic — focusing on preserving historical truth, not serving modern political agendas.
The problem today seems to come from a small, godless faction, possibly with Khazarian roots, posing as Jews while betraying God, real Jews, and the world at large.
They are much older than they look, then!?

Punctuation is your friend, when used correctly. Since it wasn't, I'm guessing it should be
For those of us who read very slowly, was there a favorite out of those you'd recommend?
I just went looking for videos of these authors to see if the talked about their findings. Didn't get any results for Kevin Alan Brook, tried again for Norman Golb, and there was one result. A video of a simple wooden coffin being lowered into a grave during the bleak, Chicago, midwinter. The caption reads: 'Norman Golb, Notable University of Chicago Semitics Scholar, is dead'.
I saw that video it's too bad the other videos are not in English
Seemed like it was at the height of Covid. It would be ironic if his death had something to do with a fake pandemic which some people believe was a conspiracy created the very same Khazarians that Golb was studying.
