From my understanding, the election was won by Carney and the Liberals, not because conservative Poilievre bashed Trump, it's because the Liberals led by Carney promised to deliver Canadians from the big bad Trump, and Canadians bought it. This is not nice to say but, if someone has a bridge to Hawaii for sale, now would be a good time to sell it to Carney, and he will sell it to Canadians. The deception is that bad.
Yeah bashing Trump offends the US, not Canada. WHile at least 30%, maybe even 40% like Trump - 60% or more do not - and saying 'he bashed Trump so he lost' is stupid - Liberals bashed Trump harder - AND painted the conservatives as 'Trumpian'.
Basically insulting Canada for 2 months only helped the Liberals regain their lost vote - 2 months ago the race would have been a massive blowout in favor of the Conservatives. - in fact most pollsters and independent media was predicting based on polls before Trudeau stepped down that the Liberals could be reduced to like 30-50 seats - from 150 before - and instead now have like 165 tonight. half the country is fucking retarded and scumbags - but half are not, and love freedom too. That side just got fucked hard.
