There was a guy on the Chans years ago who survived the Bosnia or Serbia situation, can't remember which. He did an AMA, very enlightening. He was asked if he could go back in time and buy something useful he said something very interesting.
He said he would have bought 1000 Bic lighters.
Useful, easy to trade, doesn't put a target on your head.
I recall his articles. Very good.
He also had a setup to refill them.
Right! I forgot that. He installed a valve from an air-soft gun, very clever.
Was a book written about him? Did he live near an alcohol distillery and took heaps to barter with etc. Were their homes connected underground? I seem to remember now it’s coming back.
