I'm sure they will make it painful to resist, but I'm not planning to get it. Anyone else holding out, or is this one hopeless?

For anyone that is considering getting TSA PreCheck, consider this first. If you are expecting to travel outside the USA anytime in the next 8-10 years get the Global Entry (or Sentri if just driving across the border). It costs more but TSA PreCheck is given for free. Plus you get a nice little card you may be able to use coming back into the US (if they have the machines at that airport). Regardless, it is a valid ID that proves citizenship.
