Don't upvote. Struggling with High Cholesterol Do my frens here have any natural solutions?
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
Fam and I eat mostly Organic. Been trying to loose some weight too. I will try to exercise more but this has been creeping up on me more and more this last year. Anyone know if a long fast lowers this? Going to try a fast for a few weeks maybe and reset my system. Any other non pharma recs on how to lower this down? Thanks guys.
I have always had high cholesterol numbers and the older I am the numbers get higher. Tried many statins that affected my legs and arms. Finally had a blood test to determine which type of cholesterol I have....the small sticky type that clogs arteries or the large fluffy type that doesn't. I am lucky to have the large type. And when I showed this to my doctor he had not known about it. But he finally admitted that my body probably produces excess and has finally stopped trying to get me to take statins.
Smart. Most people don't know about the large fluffy type that a high fat diet produces. I am so glad to see so many people looking beyond the medical profession for all their information.
We certainly can't trust the medical professionals to do anything other than treat symptoms and prescribe more drugs. I watched my parents believe anything the Drs said and take more and more drugs, which I am sure killed them before their time....we have to do our own research on everything these days.
My LDL (small sticky kind) are off the chart without statins. . And they are still above normal when I was placed on 80mg of Atorvastatin for 2 years. Had to get them cut back down to 40 mg since they are destroying my liver as my liver aZT enzymes were elevated
In spite off this I had a calcium scan done earlier this year and I have absolutely no buildup in any arteries. if I can just convince my doctor I’m ok without taking any statins.
I go back to see her the end of the month and if my liver values are still high I’m going off the statins.
Would like to follow this thread if there are any other ways to bring it down. I’ve tried eating Keto and it didn’t help.
My doc thinks it’s familial and my eating doesn’t affect it.
Most likely is familial as diet and exercise never helped me either. I also have done calcium scans once a year since 2005 and never show any blockage. Figure at 75 years I am doing well. If you are eating healthy, exercising and get the scans you are probably doing what is best for you if it is hereditary. If you haven't heard Dr.Berg you might give him a listen.
