The First Amendment to the United States Constitution protects several fundamental rights, including the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government.
Lobbying is the right to petition the government, although it's being abused by corporations and other large organizations. The questions is, "How can we limit it?" That would be like limiting freedom of speech, right?
I agree, but it’s not being done equally. A corporation can get what it wants by throwing money around. But if a group of citizens presents the government with a petition, a 1A right, signed by millions in all 50 states, but don’t infuse cash, then that petition would be ignored.
Corporations are not and never were people. Who created the first corporation ?
That's why why they turned Our Government into a Corporation.

This is so very true. IMO there should not even be a job called lobbyist; it simply should not exist and it truly does need to be called what it is - bribery.
I should be able to hire a lobbyist. I can vote. Corporations can not vote and should not be allowed. If the corporation wants/needs something it better have it's customers on it's side. See why you don't matter to Corporations or Government ?
