I was always opposed to removing lead from solder. 3%-5% lead in solder gives most of the advantages of lead and minimizes the disadvantages. But that's not the reason why they pushed for removing it. Removing the lead from solder means that circuit failure over time due to tin whiskers is pretty much a given.
You do know the original research was done by a psychologist. Not even an MD or Psychiatrist or Scientist by any real measure. And it was mosy black children left unattended for many hours mostly in public housing.
Oh , and they still had lead in the Gasoline which meant it was all over everything outdoors. But when they removed the lead from gas IQ's ,SAT's and other metrics continued their decline for children. Maybe the Lead wasn't the problem ?
Don't forget about food dyes, preservatives, wood pulp (in flour products), high fructose corn syrup, natural flavoring (what's that?), titanium oxide (in freaking everything), chlorine and fluoride in the water, plus vaccines at birth....it is only by God's grace that humanity is still viable and ready for a massive change.
