Shiiiiiiiiit! Hey Trump, come out to California and show me ANYTHING that you mentioned in your post that has come down. And I’ll show you just the opposite every single day!
Is he seriously just fucking with me now?
I feel like I’m a frog being slow boiled.
I went to Lowe’s last week to get a house key duplicated and the very next day I went to get a 2nd copy made and the price for a basic house key shot up a whole dollar. One day it was $3.98 and the next day it was $4.98! Kid making the key said something about getting ready for tariffs or some shit… funny thing is tho, the back of the key barcode thing said “Hillman USA”… so, what the fuck!?! Oh, and Lowe’s was super dead, like no one was shopping felt weird like Covid times. Same when I went to Sam’s club middle of the day was a ghost town.
This is a classic case of stores using the "news" to raise their prices. Gas stations do it all the time; there will be news about some conflict, weather event, or anything, that MIGHT cause supply problems, and the stations raise their prices, even though they purchased the gas in their tanks weeks or months in the past.
