Yes, I think that would be part of it. I know someone who I would bet has a Deep state / swamp connection but he's the sort of guy who likes to talk more than listen & assumes that all his friends would, of course, be anti Trump & etc., as well. Every now & then he would slip out that he has 'a friend' who said this, or that he was helping 'a friend' with that, ect. His timing on some things was uncanny & etc. Once when I asked him how he had such a connection he'd say "I can't tell you" & change the subject. I never pressed more.
One time I saw him (During Trumps 1st term) he was laughing at Trump because 'a friend' of his who somehow works in the white house had an article of clothing (like a tie clip) that Trump would always wear that would tell them where in the white house Trump is (so that they could avoid him or maybe get back to what they are supposed to be doing when he is near them) I think he called it "where's Trump"
Yeah, I know, he probably sounds like some crazy guy with a vivid imagination to you but, given all that he's said before & what others have implied on rare occasion, I think there's something to it. I bet that's why they wanted to swap out AF1 too. That was a very good move. I would bet anything from previous admin are suspect
I can readily believe the tie clip story. Sounds like standard-issue spy craft to me.
When there are press releases about the White House/Oval Office being under renovations or remodeling, I took that to mean that their spooks were scanning the place for the previous spooks' bugs. And then to add their own bugs and latest-generation counter-espionage devices.

Yeah, well I've been sort of avoiding him since I figured this out but when I do see him I mostly just listen. Looking back he has had incredible luck at starting events & groups & at being selected to be on boards & stuff.
