There was this great series of books called "Eat This, Not That" published some years ago that highlighted just how awful all of our fast food and junk food in America is. Ben & Jerry's ice cream was, I think, the top worst offender for incredibly unhealthy ice cream. Not that ice cream is a healthy option, but there are much better choices out there than Ben & Jerry's. Even better, make your own with an ice cream churn!
There were other offenders too, like Sonic, McDonald's, In-N-Out, Hardee's, and so on. Simply put, we are slowly being poisoned to death by food.
