There’s an old man down in South Africa who was friends with my grandfather, we grew up affectionately referring to him as Uncle Len.
One day when Uncle Len was at work, his wife and 7month old baby girl went to the local mall and were killed by a bomb planted by a murderous piece of shit named Andrew Zondo.
During his trial, Zondo said that his only regret was that the body count hadn’t been higher. The apartheid government sentenced Zondo to death, and he was hanged soon thereafter.
Uncle Len still lives alone in the same house some 40 years later, only now the street its on has been renamed in honour of the “liberation hero” Andrew Zondo.
Imagine your government openly revering the man who murdered your innocent wife and child. Imagine having to see his name every time you drive out to go buy a loaf of bread. Imagine hearing your president deny white people are racially victimised in any way, and say that they are just “trying to escape racial justice”.
Fuck that country. I am never going back
No doubt Zondo was working for Nelson Mandela.

Assaults, murders, robberies, bombings (including of white school children), “necklacings” and various other acts of general terrorism.
Their wikipedia article has the same tone as that panel of assholes on CNN. “Yeah, you know… they killed people, but not that many. Overall they were basically heroes 🥴”
The end does justify the means.
