Injectable ivermectin used orally...anyone have experience and did it work?
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
We have some on hand (1% ) and it itsn't feasable to inject in this case. I know the dosage, required, I just need insight.
Thanks, pedes!
Thanks, man
This is what was throwing me off...
"Most injectable drugs, particularly biologics such as peptides and proteins (e.g., insulin, monoclonal antibodies), are rapidly degraded by gastrointestinal enzymes and exhibit poor absorption across the intestinal epithelium, resulting in negligible oral bioavailability"
I'm doing it regardless. Thanks again.
I have read the best way to use the injectable is transdermally using a couple drops in the navel. But i have no personal experience with anything but the horse paste.
Thanks!!
You might want to add some DMSO to help it absorb through the skin.
I used it in 2022 when I had covid, Ivermectin 1% injectable, 3cc orally. My throat was so raw, i squirted the stuff behind by sore throat. It taste like drinking rubbing alcohol. Chased it with Sprite. My wife had the same covid, (we had it bad). She did NOT take the ivermectin. I was just as sick has here for just as long. It did not work for me. Not for covid, it may have dewormed me. But I hear the stories of success. Best of Luck to you
You also need zinc. The Ivers helps the zinc get past the protection surrounding the bug.
Thanks!
I've used it for years with my dogs to prevent heartworms. Put it on their food.
No. The 1% Agri-Mectin
"AGRI-MECTIN® (ivermectin) Injection for Cattle and Swine 1% Sterile Solution:"
I used it during covid, and still use it at least once a month. I've told others with covid to use it, and their results amazed them. Usually two days or less and all symptoms are gone. A couple of those folks were going on two weeks sick. You can get the injectable at any farm store and a 50ml bottle will last a long time.
I give it to my dogs for heart worm prevention once a month. The dose for them is .1cc per 10 lbs body weight. I just put the drops on their food and mix it in.
The dose is 1cc per 110 lbs body weight. The best way to take it is in a shot of juice as it is bitter tasting.
Yeah,me too. Retired PharmD. Was just probing.
Found this: "Macrocyclic lactones, such as ivermectin, are absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract primarily by passive diffusion due to their high lipophilicity"
"Bioavailability of ivermectin increases significantly when administered with a high-fat meal, as demonstrated by a 2.5-fold increase in systemic exposure compared to the fasted state, indicating that dietary fat enhances solubilization and absorption of this lipophilic compound.[1]"
So i Pulled out old rx trick and wetted some powder (micronized creatine) with 3.2 cc of IVM 1% and added to 1TBS of olive oil. 23g fat per TBS) and chased w glugs o' whole milk.
I was IVM dealer in my family. 48-72° recovery here, too!
Thanks, man
