I wouldn’t call it “conquered” if I were you, as it’s being conquered right now (or “reconquered”, as they’d call it). If you frame it that way, it’s both not quite accurate, and a justification of the present.
Perhaps it could be better to say that South Africa was purchased, created, and earned through success and diligent labor and operating in good character. (Or the equivalent statement for a 90 IQ ruffian)
“Conquered” implies that the land was taken through aggressive violence, and that the Afrikaners doing so was acceptable.
