I disagree with Dr. Merritt, respectfully, as she is a medical doctor.
I did some scanning around the web, then did an AI question: ears when nicked can bleed a lot, and then heal quickly? (I asked AI about this kind of wound in general, not for Trump specifically, that way AI would not give me a politicized response)
Answer: yes, the ear has a lot of capillaries which can bleed a lot. Wounds to the ear can heal up rapidly due to the adequate blood supply. Scarring can be minimized with careful careful cleaning and protection, leaving minimal scarring.
Application of that response from AI to Trump’s wound:
When there is not much cartilage damage, then there’s not gonna be much scarring. Trump had a small wound, 2cm, not much cartilage damage and only a small portion of ski. and fat was removed by the bullet wound.
AI answer continuing:
Dr. Jackson talking about Trump’s wound: the wound was “half-moon shaped” at the top of his ear and there was nothing to stitch.
Next I asked
I wondered about Trump’s reaction, reaching to his ear about 3/4 of a second after the first gunshot could be heard.
AI answer:
Trump’s reaction time reaching up to his ear was within a normal timeframe for normal human reflexes.
I think Dr. Merritt is well-meaning, she just needs a refresher on the ear and emergency wound care, plus a Q&A with some ballistics experts.
Definitely not a wound caused by a bullet fragment, this was the first shot that hit him, and it did not bounce off from the ground or bleachers. Ballistics experts would have quite some comments readily available if the bullet wound had been a “ricochet”
What are your thoughts on the discussion in the clip about the assassination attempt in Butler being fake/staged?
Everything is staged. There is no other way. It's a movie. ncswic
