The DEA would have to get a separate warrant to even look at the contents of the Biden laptop in question. Being separate cases, if a judge refused to grant a warrant on the unrelated laptop, the DEA would have no choice but to return it to the proper owner.

Yes, but why would they raid Keith Ablow's place to take it? And if the warrant for that raid didn't cover the laptop contents, shouldn't they return the laptop to Ablow, the place they took it from? Unless Hunter claimed it was stolen property. .. Interesting.
I don't know anything this is all conjecture but if they demanded the password from Ablow, all he would have to say is "That is not my laptop it is Hunter Biden's, and I do not have the password". Then the DEA would have to apply for a warrant for Hunter's laptop, which could have been denied.
