This isn't 'revenge' its JUSTICE for the criminally insane who did this to face. The Lord did not put us on this earth to let horrible things happen and just 'let it go' !
There's a HUGE difference between following God's direct commandment and acting from the wickedness within your own heart. It's a pretty bad take. Christ and the Father have the authority and capacity to make such righteous judgement.
I don't know if you have read the Bible or not but one of the most common themes is "they" keep doing wicked things and because of "their" wickedness and unrighteousness, then "they" get disciplined, up to and including annihilation, then lather, rinse repeat. Do this for centuries and suddenly, 109. Evil wickedness.
And yet, we must STILL forgive them in our hearts and pray for them to come to Christ and repentance. Jesus gave us only TWO commandments we MUST follow to be His disciple, and righteously judging others isn't one of them. That's left for Him.
I didn’t forget, but it was so far up the chain I didn’t even notice that it was the context. Maybe the same with them. Yes, not seeking revenge is good, not seeking Justice is bad.

I see you already forgot the content of the comment to which I replied. Here it is again with the important part(s) in bold:
If it were about justice, it would say I want justice.
Have a blessed day!
