MIT was never known for being deliberately stupid, but they are woke beyond measure. A church congregant gives me her issues of MIT Technology Review for spare reading, and they are less about the technology and more about the socio-whatever aspect of the technology in practice. The Green stuff is bothering, because, ultimately, it is such a profound waste of time and effort. As a result, they report on what I would call "boutique" discoveries and inventions. Things that a normal person would never know about or encounter, which would have no major effect on anything. I mean, there is nothing wrong with coming up with a new way to formulate concrete so it cures better while submerged...but it's a far cry from SpaceX.
