The amount of people who miss the forest for the trees on so much of this is astounding. The amount of times I've seen the "X was/can be used to hurt me therefore X is bad" fallacy is saddening.

Well I believe what's implied is that the serpent is ultimately infecting/influencing/blocking the third eye.
The Crown of thorns that separates the pyramid and the spiritual eye represent a wall/barrier of reconnecting with the divine.
5:52 as he suddenly "awakens" and then the crown of thorn/barrier dissolves between the top of the pyramid and the spiritual eye.

Jesus said there were many antichrists that were going to come. Revelation specifically focuses on the antichrist of that time. The word "antichrist" does not even appear in the Book of Revelation, though some interpret certain figures in Revelation (like the beast from the sea) as embodying the spirit of the Antichrist.
