As a recovering Fundamental Baptist, I appreciate that reply. To think, that someone once had enough arrogance to conjure up the notion that "People always believed in this theological understanding, even though no one in recorded history ever wrote as if they did," and then tell others, "This has to be right." Is there a better example of the pride of man in all of Christendom?
