I once looked into the "corporate challenge" races they have all over the world in major cities, supposedly as "fund raisers" (I forget which mega bank was the sponsoer). I called to ask about financials, but because it wasn't a 501-c charity, no financial info is required. I turns out they pay people with titles such as "race chairman" at least $10,000 per race, and many other such positions. Just a slush fund for their corporate cronies, with an unknown amount actually going to any charity.
It doesn't. It just provides funding and generates exposure. Anyone can have a parade. And if there are groups or corps that want to support it they can.
Or you think a brand is there to make money for shareholders and this brand made a calculation based on long term business calculations for better or worse and why do i care about brand loyalty anyway? whatami, some kinda shill?
I think the idea is, for the people who go there it's a fun happy event for them. So they subconsciously associate positivity with the brand.
Advertising is full of psychological tricks lack that.
For the people who don't like the event, and the brand association. they probably won't pay much attention to begin with. So it's overall positive for the company
Why does a parade need corporate sponsors anyway?!?
Cause it's a huge money maker for the fags that put them on. Without sponsors, they would have to get real jobs.
Kek
They need to boost their ESG score to get favorable loans.

You can't put, gave money to Phil to buy the coke for the party on a Finical report. Or underage hookers or both...
It's not just govt that steals money.
To give it legitimacy that it couldn't otherwise acquire.
