Ukraine's SBU security service said on Tuesday it had hit the road and rail bridge linking Russia and the Crimean peninsula below the water level with explosives.

My take: it's a big psyop, Ukraine is only doing symbolic damage for the cameras.

Those bombers were permanently parked in full view as part of the SALT treaty. That means they were not part of the actual Russian defense plan. A symbolic target, not strategic.
