The Biden administration took a whole year to reconfirm Powell. Why, if he's one of them? Why would they use Lael Brainard to fabricate a trading controversy to help remove Powell, and replace him with Brainard, only for it to fail and Biden had to reconfirm Powell? And why would Powell promise not to raise rates during all of this, and then literally a day after he was reconfirmed did he jack rates up?
