whats a bunch of bullshit, is the idea that men can and have walked on the moon.
Ive spent years down this rabbit hole, debating people who claim to be scientists, engineers, etc
if you havent been down the rabbit hole, i encourage you to do so.
If you don’t wanna waste a bunch of your time, I can just tell you that the moon landing was obviously a hoax, and that any serious conversation about the math or physics will quickly reveal that fact
the single most devestating “just asking questions” is…
Q: do astronauts have to go “UP” to get to the moon?
the obviously correct answer:
yes
your rambling, incorrect answer:
well… you see because gravity works differently in the dark depths of outer space, the answer is closer to a “no”,
because you see, the rocket used “gravity assist” and “the slingshot effect” to go really fast and achieve “escape velocity” and they totally “escaped gravity” and so the astronauts actually went more of a horizontal, sideways slide across flat, gravity free space between the earth and moon. Havent you even played Kerbal?
most people have a very hard time estimating the distance to the moon
short video clip of people guessing wrong by a mile

Ok?
so because the common man assumes the moon is close, he also assumes its possible to get there.
also, in order to get to the moon, its necessary to go “UP” to get there, or at least to a Lagrange Point.
most common people have been duped into believing its possible for a rocket to go so fast (escape velocity) that it literally “escapes gravity”
this is science fiction. its no more possible for a rocket to “escape gravity” than it is for a bird to escape gravity
Sounds like a bunch of bullshit.

If my guess was out by a mile, I would be pretty happy with that. Bout a quarter million.
Pretty sure that is the colloquial mile lol. Off the top of my head it should be about 230,000; same ballpark.
