Fat is the appetite suppressant molecule. Carbohydrate is the appetite stimulant molecule.
Eating fat trains the body to eat less and burn fat. Eating sugar trains the body to crave sugar, eat more, and store fat.
One doesn't need a degree in human biology (even though I have one) to grasp this; just an open mind (got one of them too...give it a try :)
