This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)

I love life too, it was a gift to me from my Creator, and, I hate being manipulated, despise it, since the Viet Nam war, when I began to question everything I was being told, so I read history, only to discover that history, and scripture, were all manipulated for the use of various world powers. I stay informed, and then go touch dirt, I built a homesteading life for myself at age 37, I am now 75, with all the aches and pains and slowing down that brings. I am so jaded, it borders on cynicism. I still have faith, I still study scripture, I pray, I plant carrots and crops for harvest in the fall, I study what is in my realm,, the trees, the plants, the insects, the soil and rocks that are 400 million years old, the enormous boulders of quartz, the good bacteria that is thriving on the forest floor. All things to love about my life. What is unfolding we see through a glass darkly, but if we have faith that the light is there and always will be, the darkness should not worry us. I have never been happier to be a bread making peasant than I have for the last 20 years, and I am so thankful to God in Christ that he led me here, it strengthens me. Perspective can be found in all of HIS creations, what men do is folly and all is vanity, just keep your eye on HIM, and you will be sustained in HIS goodness.
Thank you for sharing. You sound wise and grounded. Nature is SO important, while God is key. If I didn't believe (know) everything is created by design... I'd be lost for sure (which so many godless people seem to be right now) Godspeed
