The Fed was absorbed into the Dept. of Treasury -- mop top. Catch up.
Yeah, no, it wasn't. The FED is still a very independent organization. If it had been absorbed, interest rates would have been cut.
Indeed. Trump told us the Treasury has the FED'S books. That's ownership. When I worked for GE, whenever we acquired a company management would simply announce, "We have their books."
Trump 1.0 had a press conference with Steve Mnuchin. One of them announced it.
Whatever is happening now is theater. I don't know why or what Trump is up to. But, the FED was nationalized back then.
Of course it's possible they didn't mean ownership. But I know of no other meaning of the phrase or why they would say it like they did.
Trump makes war by deception. In this world of sin and misery where Satan's children run everything, I guess one must. I hate it, but it seems to work.
