God the Father did. He so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to be a sacrifice for sin.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:20 that Jesus was crucified before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in these last times for you.
In Revelation 13: 8 the Bible says ..."and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
No doubt some Jewish religious sects wanted Jesus killed and they tried to kill him even before the cross, but he laid down his life for his friends and those that would believe on him through their word. It was the Romans that killed him physically but only because God gave them that power, and it was Jesus that said that, not me.
The word of God is forever and no matter how much one may hate "Jews" it won't change the Gospel truth.
The death and resurrection of Jesus is quite different from the country of Israel and its politicians. I think people that can't (or won't) see the difference don't understand either one very well.
Correct. Nothing ever happens without it being God's will. God's plan included Jesus' sacrifice for the redemption of humanity, Jesus, being fully God and fully man, chose to willingly and lovingly participate in that plan. This choice was not a mere act of compelled duty but a profound act of love and obedience. God decided the Pharisees and the Romans would be the "antagonists", but it could have just as easily been any other group of people, had that been His will.
