Though there is a lot of good stuff in that bill, there is a huge amount of long-lasting evil being introduced, akin to the Patriot Act. This is long term stuff that may not manifest for a decade but be key and insurmountable in taking away our God given rights.
I feel like we are put in a position to vote for 65% tax hikes or the largest permanent tax cut in history, as long as we accept the poison pills.
The fact is, if they reduced the tax rate to 0% and enshrine it in law, it would not still make up for inflation, which is the devaluing of currency and is the great hidden tax on the planet.
So, I am not amused. I do not like having a gun pointed at my head telling me I must have support for a bill, or I agree with huge tax hikes. When on the flip side, AI being able to take control of various aspects of government, while not allowing the individual States of the Union to be able to protest this in court for 10 years seems to be foolish, to the limits of dangerous that even Jackass the TV show did not perform.
There should be no omnibus bills. One law, One bill in my mind.
The only reason to combine a pile of unrelated laws and regulations into a single bill is to hide/force nefarious shit. If something is good, it can stand on it's own and citizens can see whether or not their representatives are actually representing them.
I'm okay with this. The bill is shit. Start over.
