Same here - I'm seeing a lot more recruiters reaching out to me. Fortunately more of them are legit, versus the dozens of Indian recruiters trying to get me to take some job at about 1/2 the pay it would normally pay. Those guys rip off perspective employees so they can take the rest of the money the company was offering. I had one try to get me to sign on for a contract position that usually goes for $65-85/hour and they wanted to offer me $40. No. Even at $65 that would be over a 50k difference per year, and at $85 it would be over a 93k difference.
Primarily, advertising nationally, but wanting a butt in a seat in a specific high cost area, while expecting potential employees to eat the relocation cost, and for a salary that they should have been embarrassed to offer in 2010. Then calling it "hybrid".
Taking six months after you've submitted an application to make any contact and then telling you they expect multiple rounds (6) of interviews and a project over the next two weeks just to be considered for the final round.
Basically pretending you want top tier talent, but recruiting in a way that will only attract the desperate, mediocre or both.
Well I'm glad you're wise to their ways and holding out for a good situation. I've experienced a bit of that myself, it's not great. Thankfully it's not a winning strategy and doesn't hold up in the long run. I pray something good shows up in your path!
I'd submit for your approval, that you don't know how protected you are.
Many hard won labor rights came about because of unsafe practices and procedures. You are protected from many poisons and carcinogens, relative to the past. You get overtime after 40 hrs, perhaps. You have access to PPE if your job requires it. You have .. lotta protection. Not because they are nice, but because they have to.
I'm salary and I work from home. I'm basically on call 24x7.
The only reason it's tolerable is because I control my environment and don't have to commute to an office.
I get paid pretty well, but I can be out tomorrow for any reason or no reason. I'd have more protection at McDonald's but I'd also be exposed to more risk for less money.
Unfortunately 5-day gig within the beltway of DC. No thanks, LOL.
I can't help but wonder why all this activity suddenly. I mean, obviously DJT, but is it the BBB, the economic indicators, the mass deportations, something else?
I think it's the unknow and fear factor that was hold everyone back. For the first time in my life, I feel I can believe and trust our President has our backs. It's like feeling a shift in the air around me.
I am starting to see the job market improve. I was contacted by three recruiters in the last week after probably over a year of no responses.
Unfortunately, all three companies are still stuck in 20th century thinking and I'm fortunate that I can hold out for a 21st century company.
But it's a good sign

Whenever I was job hunting, I wouldn't even consider speaking to Indian recruiters.. Not worth the time.
Same here. It was always bullshit jobs.
I'm curious what you mean by 20th and 21st century thinking for companies. Glad to hear things are improving for you!

lmmhe wants fewer protections and benefits, I think?
I'm in a right to work state. Not complaining but I couldn't have fewer protections. I have to produce or I'm on the street.

always exceptions, of course

Just heard from a fourth recruiter this week.

Govt hiring is driving the current numbers. Wait for a bit.
Seeing same and same question
👍👌👌
May miss the chance for the greatest impact. Reminding them they don't want to end up like Sears. Best of luck though
Good time to switch jobs. Staying at one job you rarely get a good raise. Jump ship to another company and you can get like 20% increase.
Not if you're not a govt employee. State govt hiring increases are 70% of the growth
msm
mainstream media.
they only lie.
The numbers show it's largely state govt hiring
Oh! Numbers, you say?!? Well, those are never used to deceive.
The numbers and msm lie.
This is known. i don't make the rules.
Show me something different, I'd love to change my mind.
nothing else to show. MSM lies for the baby trafficking cabal. They are only allowed to taunt, lie, and be evil.
There's a lot to learn here, so just flip through threads day after day year after year and see that everyone here agrees. We all taught eachother.
Ok. Why bother saying anything. I can't trust Trump's own numbers so let's all hang out.
You think trump makes up his own numbers?
No. That's my point not yours.
Not if you're in tech

They weren’t wrong. They were lying.
Pathetic. They have no experts.
