I have some family, brother of a cousin and his own family, that were in one of the campgrounds in the flood area. No word about them.
I've heard that the river may have risen to around 30 ft in a matter of 2 or so hours. My wife described the accounts of it being like an inland tsunami.
Last report I saw is that choppers are constantly patrolling looking for survivors and I think the area is expected to see even more rain tonight.
My neighborhood is right next to that campground. We got evacuation orders at 4:30 am. I donβt know where anyone from the campground went but I saw a lot of rvβs parked at Walmart so Iβm hoping most of them got out. I saw the first responders and the choppers though, I know not everyone survived.
I hope your house and your family are ok!
Hopefully they are ok. There are a lot of people praying for them here.
