Well,....it is inarguably the US flag touching the ground,....

...but given the dedication to graphic perfection and the general gaiety of the holiday, I'm inclined to 'overlook' it

For you young'uns out there, 'gaiety' (not 'gayness') is the noun form of gay when intended to mean what it meant a couple of generations ago—mirthful, happy, joyous, or blissful—basically the opposite of of what it means now :)
