How Xi’s wife and a regional chief secretly plotted his escape
One of Xi Jinping’s most loyal followers, Ma Xingrui, Party Secretary of Xinjiang, has been suddenly dismissed. A close confidant of Xi’s wife, Peng Liyuan, Ma’s downfall not only signals Xi’s weakening grip on power---but also exposes a far more shocking secret: Xi may be planning to flee China. According to a source in Beijing, Xi fears severe backlash, and Peng has been quietly preparing an escape plan for the family. Behind the scenes, she and Ma were plotting his exit route. This program reveals the inside story of a collapsing regime—and a leader preparing to run before it’s too late.
The plot sounds reasonable. Xi and Peng both have been implicated in Li Keqiang's possible assassination. So if they lose the power struggle with the elders and Youxia, they would need to get the hell out of Dodge because the outcry over Li's death is growing.
This escape plan to Kazakhstan also sheds some light on Xi's recent visit to Kazakhstan for a Central Asian Summit. Rumors at the time were afoot that Xi was really there to discuss possible escape routes for elites fleeing China. There were also those Chinese cargo flights going into Iran while Xi was in Kazakhstan. It didn't seem to make sense at the time, but now in light of this new rumor drop, at least the Kazakhstan connection seems to tie together. Another hint at trying to figure out what's in the CCP black box.
Is there any more information out of China about Hu Jintao's condition? If he is seriously ill, or has died, that changes the game. However, we have heard this rumor about Hu's health before. The rumor turned out to be false.
