It might hurt for a little while but lots of necessary things do.

I was sort of thinking:

declare temporary martial law -

then nail the worst offenders against children, then traitors, murderers, etc., in Congress - quick military tribunals and executions for treason, crimes against humanity

assemble new Congress based on the Constitution -

once the new Congress is in place, with term limits and so much oversight and vetting that some actual good people might be in Congress, and corruption becomes all but eliminated -

then end martial law and revert to ordinary civilian operations.

So, all parties are incentivized to get it all done and return to civilian rule as fast as possible

This would work, if not for the multi-tiered justice system that has existed since the beginning of recorded history and remains in robust health today

Laws apply only to those who don't make the laws; like members of Congress were exempt from the annual penalty for not having Foebamacare and exempt from the jab requirement and exempt from the antisocial distance requirement at gatherings, etc.
