A friends father was a trucker for years. He was an immigrant (european variety). Came here in the late 70s but had to take tests and understand English to get the job, which he held for 30some years. Apparently such tests/standards aren't in place anymore? Scary indeed.
I vaguely remember a governor in the midwest (maybe IL) several years ago who got taken down in a scandal about distributing free licenses to illegal immigrant truckers. Those same politicians screaming "buckle up, it's the LAW" for seatbelt safety on the roadways are the same ones distributing trucker licenses to ppl who can't even read. Unbelievable hypocrisy.
I really despise them.
The illegals have fake schools and get licenses from Jose and Papi for a small fee.
Fake schools, fake licenses, they literally cannot speak English, so they haven't passed shit. Just scamming America and making our roads dangerous, and destroying legit trucker's industry, by flooding it with unskilled, illegal, under the table wages.
