It’s simple once you realize carbs will kill you. Count carbs not calories. Less than 50 carbs a day. Keep carbs in a 6 hour window. It’s really easy to do but you’ll realize you can’t eat 3 donuts and 2 cups of latte sugar every day. If you do- you will die from heart failure. Duh. You’re addicted to carbs.
Except insulin resistance is real and it damages your pancreas. Elevated glucose elevates insulin. Long periods of elevated insulin makes inflammation and increases fat. After age 40 ish your metabolism changes. If you are skinny on your healthy carb diet- great. It didn’t help me, so, on to what works.
Yes the hydrogenated fats will kill you. I agree though Americans are fat because they eat a high carb high fat diet. I practice OMAD myself, one meal a day. I aim for protein and fat from the meat I eat but I still eat carbs, probably less than 100g a day. My energy levels are stable, don't get super highs or super lows just consistent all day.
I've spent the last year working on my diet. In/out, schedules, fasting, everything I can think of, two weeks at a time to see what does and doesn't work. The killer is carbs. For a regular person, (regular office worker?), a large meal once a day, with no bread/crackers/rice/noodles/'special sauce'/etc, and a 3oz grass-fed antibiotic-free beef stick in the afternoon, seems to be the sweet spot.
I expect better results once I'm no longer carrying this built-in refrigerator, and can walk longer. We'll see how next year goes.
I'm averaging 60-75 miles per week on my new bike. (Both wife and I when we can).
It had been 5 yrs, got a wild hair and just took off one day last month. Old bike was 12 yrs old.
One of her clients owns a bike shop and we just got 2 for 60%off each with foldin' money, no tax.
City has a a greenbelt that is 9.5 mi long one way and goes along the river for 5 miles. . Not flat here.
Right beside where D Boone hung out a lot.
Best idea I've had in a while.
Only negative is the 10-15 "homeless" that hang out along it. Only a couple seem truly schizoid, others are druggies and there are 2 mentally ill trannies.
Red Cross has purchased fkn E bikes for some of them at 1k apiece.
I ride w pistola in waistband.
95% of users are run of the mill citizens. Very safe, red place.
We're a fightin' people, anyhoo.
If you are obscenely obese to the point where you can't physically get in the gym and form new habits then it can definitely be used as a tool temporarily in order to get your weight loss journey started.
You can pair it with something like keto or intermittent fasting and then maintain those habits when you stop it and you will keep the weight off.
It just blows my mind that this entire Ozempic article, does not tell you why the drug paralyzes your stomach. I already posted "Medical Mafia" today..... listen to it if you want dozens of shocking truths today!
And as for how if you quit ozempic you gain the weight right back. Go see Sharon Osbourne. She cannot eat anymore, she is starving to death, her stomach is ruined. https://youtu.be/s2ZVs07HxBY?si=4e-zuQNrEiP6trHt
I now personally know two covid clot shot free, unjabbed women who have developed cancer after taking Ozempic. This drug comes with a black box label warning. It will destroy you eventually..... it is just a matter of time.

They just suppress hunger.
Just did a two hour (manual) mountain bike ride, and it's hot here. Riding kills my appetite. Take a hint Ozempidiots.
It must be nice to live in an area where you are not concerned about being fatally mugged during a simple bike ride.
People used to be able to do that decades ago. I wonder what changed .....
It's a single track, mountain bike luxury. Getting crowded here tho. Lots of escapees from the cities.

Good for you. Keep it up.
Live to ride. Work to live. Ride to work.
That's how treatments work.
Same with testosterone.
Same with HGH.
Same with a lot of things.
It's not a cure, it's a treatment option.

Since fat and carbs burn differently at the cellular level combining them leaves at least one of them placed into storage. That would be the fat.
