They knew exactly how many people were flying out of St Louis because they had already purchased their tickets. 50,000 people were in town for a conference, and when the conference was over, they all went to the airport to catch their flights. The airlines should have had 'all-hands-on-deck' to process the passengers. What a nightmare for the passengers with many undoubtedly missing their flights.
This is why I took extra time and drove across the country. Already been gone a month. Will be driving back over the next 4 weeks. Am going to see stuff and attend the k9 Olympics in Indiana. Lots money not going to the airlines.
