There was a law in the fifties(and prior) automatically revoking citizenship if you voted in a foreign election, which is obvious, because you shouldn't get more voting power than any other American.
The supreme court upheld it in the early fifties, then reversed it 9 years later once the left had cemented its majority on the court.
And we had to wait half a century to overturn Roe v. Wade because of precedent that the left doesn't follow when they have a majority.
Also, I'm not usually one of those commenters... but take a guess as to what country the guy they overturned the law for voted in to trigger the law in the first place.
