The banner was intended to be a psychological trigger for people who see it to avoid the contents. It doesn’t matter what it says or where it directs you.
It’s that normal people see that gentle blue banner and have a visceral reaction they don’t understand and simply leave the page or file it under “complete bullshit”
It blew me away that the intent from the start is the content of the message has never mattered to them, it has always been that the message was present is enough to trigger the reaction.
