Only works if the USD remains the de-facto currency, and then after that it wouldn't be anymore. Any new debt would probably be underwritten by something else. Why would anyone lend to us again after devaluing our own currency by trillions?
Wouldn't matter cause they would all go belly up with us since they are sitting on usd as well. We also wouldn't need to be loaned money cause we have all the mining sites still. While the rest of the world gobbled theirs up and sold it off we left ours untouched and turn into protected lands so noone can mine it
Yeah, they would also just take their share of whatever the 28 coins were and use it to pay off all of their debt to us. Junk out junk right back in.
I don't know about the mining sites. My impression is that there are still plenty of those owned outright in China by the state, but I haven't been paying attention. In that scenario only nationalized resources would matter.
Lol maybe I am. I guess I don't really get what "we have all the mining sites still" means either. Other countries would still own their own, not ours. That's kinda what I meant by nationalized resources.

Why would we allow China to keep or use anything they “owned” within our borders in a situation as suggested?? Unless I’m misunderstanding lol
