No it's not really funny... it's probably best described as a dystopian scifi thriller/drama, with a virus that "escaped the lab", a "Hunter Biden" character/archetype, looking glass/time travel, and a mind bending phsycho storyline...
It's definitely interesting given the layers of 🤡🌎 that's been peeled back since the movie was released...
I'm assuming you've already seen the Stargate SG1 series? SG Universe is also good... with some interesting ideas...
AI? Battlestar Galactica 2003 has it ALL - very well done...

Might be a good night to rewatch The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy...or possibly Dune (2000 with William Hurt - best version in my opinion)...or dumb it way down and watch BBC spice (frankincense, saffron etc) Here's frankincense
Never saw it, (or the series, for that matter), looks intriguing, especially with the virus thing. Terry Gilliam, eh, does it have comedic overtones?

I have seen a lot of the original Stargate, but not Universe.
Watched both Battlestars, Lorne Greene and the new one. Not sure how I feel about making Starbuck a woman.
I've always liked reading better, so maybe I should rather read the Dragon series as there's four instead of three.
I did see the original Dune, (Boy did Kyle Maclachlan get old!), and wasn't that impressed, so if I do watch it again, I'll check out the Hurt one.
As for the BBC, although it looks mildly interesting, I prefer my spices in my food! 😄
