I agree as it changes the circumstances dramatically, as even the situation does when you consider that nothing like this much evil has ever occurred before. And especially when you consider that most of them we're caught red-handed in committing the misdeed. Literally, treason at the highest level!
Not a lawyer, but it seems to me like sedition (or seditious conspiracy) comes closer to what these scum actually did.
Although... the Constitutional definition of "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" does sort of apply as well, in some ways. But who's the enemy in question?
