Without droning on, the jist is that they simply could not have built it with the technology that we have evidence for them having at the alleged time it was built. It’s not because people thought Africans couldn’t build something so amazing. I really hate that bullshit.
And the problem is that mainstream academia can’t just say “huh, that’s a head scratcher, we simply don’t know” instead they make up stupid theories that they have to shoehorn into with the limited evidence we have. So then people are like “well that makes no sense” and they create wild theories like “aliens did it”
And for that matter, despite the popularity of ancient aliens, very few people actually think aliens built the pyramids. That’s another tactic they use to belittle alternative theories.
