Then, the victims can go around say "They went to Stanford", for an "Executive' MBA programme, or something like that - insert various words to make it sound important. Perfect for re-writing ones CV, and Job-hopping CEs. <Did you ever wonder? Oh, Stanford only publishes transcripts or qualifications to potential employers. Neat.

So, I guess, we need to dive into people's Linked-in pages (that they wrote themselves, or had written for them by 'professionals'), and then verify for ourselves, via FOIA requests, seeing as no-one has bothered, and pedes in practice find it very hard do that sort of thing...
