There are roughly 19,000 watersheds in the US. So 19 every year would be about right.

Maybe the occurrence of these is normal and what’s abnormal is the amount of media coverage?
If so, would that indicate that “watch the water” is breaking uncontrollably free?
Umm...This flooding happens almost every year. Their are flood zones or so called flood plains. Especially around streams and rivers. Reminder, Wisconsin, has great lakes and thousands of small lakes and streams. This is normal TBH.
