Mine dropped things way too much for almost a decade. I am thinking a big part of it was undiagnosed arthritis & just assumed it was part of a concussion that wasn't going to get any better.
Of all things, GAW pointed me to try Boron & after a month I had only dropped a fish about once every 90-120 days, vs the 3-4 times per week.
I also have found that for me personally turmeric has finally kicked in & that my back wasn't killing me when I was going about church today gathering attendance rolls. I couldn't believe it.
I also found that magnesium (using "CALM") every night has helped with edema (leg swelling & likely other bodily swelling too). Granted there are a few other things that I am thinking contribute to this, but in the past week every night I take it the next day I have mild-no issues. The days I forgot, I ended up with mild-moderate issues the following day.
All kinds of trial & error. If boron can help, it took me a month before I saw any real change & was taking 36mg (6 pills) initially, now taking 5 daily. I may be overdoing it, but I am a big horse.
All kinds of unsolicited info, but I hate to see anyone have hand issues & if it is arthritis based, I can't recommend boron enough.
CALM is magnesium carbonate. Finally had a minute to go grab the bottle & check, hope that helps your research into it.
Essentially CALM added to water it is a flavored magnesium fuzzy drink. It will make your bowel movements explosive if you use too much (and there are times I just need to be cleaned out... Ewwwwwwwww & sorry for the excessive info).
A nurse practitioner I saw in the past, & before I educated myself, gave me an antibiotic 8 times in one year which destroyed my gut Flora before we tested to determine which bacterial infection my nose had. Now as I am learning how to get my digestive health back up to par, I use magnesium to help move things along & it seriously has helped my edema too.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4J9GCT8 is another product I have taken that seemed to help the edema off & on, not sure if it has also helped in combination with the Magnesium via CALM, but when I take both it has really helped. During Covid the above linked product seemed to have most of the enzymes & other nutrients that many were claiming could help against side effects, so I picked it up instead of taking each of these on their own. At least that is what I recall as to the reason I started taking this blend.
I was already taking the Amla Fruit once or twice per day, with a single Brazil nut daily, to help with bad cholesterol. My endocrinologist told me this was even more effective than any prescription without the harmful side effects. He also told me eating too many Brazil nuts would poison me, but it helps Amla preform better, so I should only eat one daily.
My general doctor knew which part of the nut helped Amla & told me, I just cannot for the life of me remember what it is now (and I think it was in this set of supplements linked). I know I have commented at some point about what the Brazil Nut provided to helped with Amla Fruit restoring proper cholesterol levels, not sure how long ago I posted that.
Edit - Borax has been floated around here as a cheap boron supplement. I tried that about 35 days after I took a Triple Boron capsule by Swanson, I figured after a few weeks I would need 1/4c of Borax daily to get the same effects as the 6 triple boron caplets when my stiffness was slowly returning on Borax (but Borax did help somewhat). I have stuck with the more expensive Triple Boron blend ever since in a variety of brands since it has been about $10-$20 ever month or two depending on the brand vs a couple dollars worth of Borax if that would have worked as well for me.
You are very welcome. I did edit my above comment & added info on boron as a triple boron supplemet vs the Borax others have suggested on their forum & why I chose to go that route.
You are very welcome!
