"In astronomy, you have measurements of physical quantities, and a fairly rigorous theory from which to draw conclusions." Now that's funny there fren!
You mean like the "Dark Matter" theory pushed as fact that is turning out to be 100% myth?
Astronomy is as corrupted by big money interest as much as any other field of so call science.
First, you use the theory of gravity and planetary motions as an analogy to your argument. Then when I point out that the theory depends on an exactitude that cannot be expected from human affairs, you pull out a scientific hypothesis (speculation) that really has no theory, and trash astronomy as a whole. I hope you don't settle family disagreements this way.
Come on. You know I did not insult you. I just expressed my hope. If anything, you insulted my intelligence by a turnabout on your own argument, thinking I wouldn't see it. I did, however and called it out. But you don't deny that you settle family disagreements this way, so that's on you. I'm not saying that you do.
Like any good Mafioso, I prefer to make enemies by choice, not by accident, so please accept my apology for any slur you construed from my remarks. I recall your name mostly favorably from remarks elsewhere, so just take this as debate coaching.
Planting information to find a leak is something that can be done, but the trick is to tag each plant with an extraneous item of information that is too interesting for the leaker to avoid relating. When you see that item showing up, you will then know that it was leaked and who leaked it.
You must have confirmation that the information was received. People's actions can result from all kinds of things, and it can never be clear that any piece of information was decisive in prompting any action (or inaction).

Shame on you.
