Silver will be $80/oz as it hits ~$5T in market cap. It needs to be #2 or #3 to gold to be fully collateralizable in the near future (expected Basel IV rules in 2026 or 2027 make physical silver a Tier1 asset just like physical gold was with Basel III rules, effective July 1, 2025). BTC is likely to hit $10-20T soon (2-3 years) as a #2 market cap to gold. https://companiesmarketcap.com/assets-by-market-cap/
It is all about the market cap so these assets can be fully collateralized. They need to be collateralizable before they can really be used as money.
FedRes is likely to be made irrelevant, and then gradually phased out. Once Silver and Bitcoin have market caps over ~4.5T just behind gold, they will be massively collateralizable and will put a major dent in replacing the FedRes supplied collateralizable securities. It cannot just be "shutdown" without destroying the economy, but a parallel system can be stood up beside with gradual shift over.
We are nearly there now with both silver and BTC just over $2T away from the $4.5T target: https://companiesmarketcap.com/assets-by-market-cap/ ;Plus Trump could revalue gold up to $8K, making its market cap ~$60T and US holdings collateralizable to pay down debt.
Wonder what happens to silver and gold if FED is shut down
It should be worth a lot more I’d think
SILVER and precious metals wayyyyy UP
Lord hear our prayer
