Because "all of history" is not a lie. Things we thought were a lie (fiction) turned out to be true (e.g., Troy).
You can't prove a lie unless you have access to the truth. How can that be possible if everything is "all a lie"? If it is all a lie, there can be no history or knowledge. Technology would be impossible. Civilization would not happen.
Stop arguing. I'll think whatever I damn well please. If you think you're educating me, you're dumb, my IQ is 139 and I'm perfectly capable of holding multiple avenues of thoughts and reason in my mind at any given time. You have no idea what really happened 100 years ago because you weren't there and history is a set of agreed upon lies. Go research something and leave me alone.
Oh, sure. You can be impervious to reason because you want to be. Lots of wisdom in that.
And, sadly, the evidence is that I am not educating you. My IQ is 146 and I happen to be deeply concerned about how we know things, because I spent my adult life in technology, which is an impossibility if what we know is a lie. (You seem not to have contemplated the implications of your statement.) I may not know what really happened 100 years ago, but I surely know about 70 years ago, and my parents give me about another 30 years back from that. How old are you, that you can be so blithe about times you don't know anything about?
Your remark on history is barely an opinion, probably picked up somewhere else from a cynic. Again, how could anyone know this, without reference to the truth? If there is truth to refer to, then the statement is an internal contradiction.
You were the first one to toss out a bold statement, and I just followed up on it. It now appears you have no stomach for defending your position rationally. You just want to run away.
Go away. My words and thoughts are mine alone. Think whatever you want and just go away. You miss the whole point. I don't want to give you, nor do I owe you any explanation about anything. I have solid morals and a lot of experience. Now, do go research something and put in in a useful thread for the community and stop harassing people who don't exactly think like you. Pitiful.
Your words and thoughts here are public, so get used to them being considered and remarked. You want me to go away, but you don't want to go away. Or you would (at least from this encounter). The challenge is whether you can resist responding.
The point is whether what we know of the world is nothing but lies. You espouse it, I question it, and you are allergic to questions and logical implications. I don't think you have any confidence in your position.
I don't take reading or writing assignments from anyone. And, at last (!), you conclude with an insult. I love it. They are the seal of a failed debate.
